One of the best ways to grow your business, sell more books, and reaffirm your love for what you do is to love your audience. Because if you love your audience, it’s likely you love what you do!

So often people hold back from sharing their brilliance and what they excel at because they either don’t think that others would find it useful or they feel it is egotistical to “toot their own horn.”

I used to think it was egotistical to share my passion for my books and for what I love doing in my business. Then one week (over ten years ago) I received several emails from people who had purchased my book. They told me that my book (Book Marketing Made Easy) had moved them to tears and changed their lives as they felt they could achieve author success.

At first, I wondered how a book on marketing could move someone to tears but then I realized that it doesn’t matter what topic a book or a course is on, if the message moves someone and helps them on their journey, then we’ve had a positive impact on their life.

That moment changed my life and my business forever. I had the epiphany that by NOT sharing my book and my training with the world, I was actually being selfish. I realized that by sharing my knowledge on a topic that others are thirsting to know more about, I am doing good in the world and helping a lot of people in the process.

So, my question to you today is: “What do you know, what do you have expertise in, that your ideal audience could benefit from?”

You can share your love with your audience by paving the way for them. Help them on their journey by sharing your brilliance, experience and expertise. You can do this through your blog posts, your videos and webinars, your books, your courses and your coaching programs.

What do you have expertise in? What comes second nature to you (that you’ve spent years or decades learning and applying) that others would benefit from?

As you give thought to the possibilities, take a moment to jot down your ideas. Just imagine what kind of affect this can have on your business and on the lives of others.
